The new sponsorship deal follows a successful partnership last year when Hebridean Island Cruises sponsored Birmingham Royal Ballet’s November performance of The Nutcracker. As part of that collaboration, a number of Hebridean’s guests enjoyed complimentary tickets to the production, along with an exclusive private drinks and canapé reception. The evening proved to be a truly magical festive occasion and a memorable highlight for guests.

Commencing on 1st May, the new sponsorship will see Hebridean Island Cruises enjoy a presence at three Birmingham Royal Ballet opening night events during the season, as well as access to a guided behind-the-scenes tour at the company’s Birmingham headquarters. The tour will offer insight into the artistry and craftsmanship behind each production, taking in costumes, wigs, shoes, technical departments and rehearsal studios.

A key highlight of the partnership will be Hebridean Island Cruises’ sponsorship of the Supporters Event to celebrate the opening night of Swan Lake at Sadler’s Wells, London, at the end of October. One of Birmingham Royal Ballet’s most iconic productions, it will offer a memorable opportunity to celebrate this special performance.

Ken Charleson, managing director of Hebridean Island Cruises, comments: “We’re delighted to be extending our partnership with Birmingham Royal Ballet. There’s a natural affinity  between our two organisations in that we’re both focused on creating memorable experiences for guests and audiences. We’re proud to play a small role in helping bring world-class performance and artistry to wider audiences.”

Paul James, CEO of Birmingham Royal Ballet said: “It was so wonderful to collaborate with Hebridean Island Cruises last year.  I am really happy that the partnership is going to continue as it will enable enhanced experiences and access to the company’s work which can only enrich the memories our guests and supporters take away with them.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ken and all of his team for being so great to work with.”
