Marella Cruises launches winter 2027 season with expanded adults-only investments on Marella Discovery 2

Marella Cruises, TUI’s UK cruise line, has unveiled its winter 2027 programme, confirming Marella Discovery 2 will turn into a permanent adult-only ship where the ocean cruise line will invest in four new adults-only onboard concepts. The entire fleet of five ships will be homeporting out of six European and Caribbean ports including transatlantic and repositional cruises. All winter sailings go on sale from2nd July 2026.

Marella Discovery 2, will be homeporting out of three ports during the winter 2027 season with Tenerife and Gran Canaria from November 2027 – March 2028 and then Malaga from March 2028 – April 2028. The four new concepts will replace the kids only spaces onboard the ship transforming them into four adult-only concepts including a speakeasy, escape room, karaoke room and arts & crafts area.  

 

The rest of the fleet will homeport from a range of European and Caribbean ports: 

  • Marella Discovery will also be homeporting out of multiple ports with the ship starting in La Romana, Dominican Republic from November 2027 – March 2028 and then travelling to Palma, Majorca from March 2028 – April 2028. 

  • Marella Explorer will be sailing out of two homeports throughout the winter season alternating from Tenerife and Las Palmas, Gran Canaria providing a range of Canarian itineraries  

  • Marella Voyager and Marella Explorer 2, the other adult only ship, will be sailing Caribbean itineraries homeporting outside of Barbados throughout the season 

 

For winter 2027, Marella Discovery 2 will introduce a new seven-night ‘Atlantic Fusion’ itinerary including a return to Agadir in Morocco. The full sailing will include: Las Palmas, Gran Canaria visiting Santa Cruz de Tenerife; Puero del Rosario, Fuertavnetura; Arrecife, Lanzarote; Agadir, Morocco; day at sea; Santa Cruz, La Palma and Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. 

 

There will also be a range of five to eight night repositionalcruises including ‘Canarian Collection 2’ from Malaga sailing to Gibraltar; day at sea; Funchal, Madeira (overnight stop); Santa Cruz, La Palma; Arrecife, Lanzarote; Las Palmas, Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz, Tenerife. As well, there will be 13 and 14 nights transatlantic cruises including ‘Voyage to the Tropics’ on Marella Discovery from Malaga sailing to Gibraltar; eight days at sea; St John’s, Antigua; Basseterre, St Kitts; Philipsburg, St Maarten; Road Town, British Virgin Islands and porting in La Romana, Dominican Republic. 

 

Marella Cruises has also extended its Cruise & Stay offering by giving more choice for customers in different destinations, with 39 new hotels in Malaga, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Romana, Barbados and Palma to add to the 197 hotels in total available for cruise & stay guests, operating from 12 TUI Airways regional airports across the UK. There will also be overnight onboard on Marella Explorer where the ship will stay in the port of Funchal, Madeira on the ‘A Canarian Christmas’itinerary on the 23 December 2027

The Suite Service Max offering for customers, the elevated range of in‑suite comforts, exclusive dining privileges and surprise‑and‑delight moments, will be rolled out to all Royal Suites, Voyager Suites and Executive Suites across the entire fleet of ships.
