Is paying extra for a top-tier luxury suite at sea genuinely worth the investment, or is it just clever marketing fluff?
After dozens of cruises and hundreds of days at sea across various lines, we've learned that a ship's marketing gloss doesn't always match the reality onboard. When we were given the opportunity to step inside an exclusive Sky Suite on Deck 18 aboard Enchanted Princess, we wanted to see if the reality lived up to the hype.
The Sky Suite on Enchanted Princess is a 1,500+ square foot luxury stateroom located high on Deck 18. Accommodating up to five guests, it features two bedrooms, two full marble bathrooms, a spacious lounge, and a massive 270-degree wraparound balcony, complete with VIP perks like complimentary laundry and dedicated butler service.
Deck Layout & Exclusive Sky Suite Arrival
Located right at the top of the ship on Deck 18 (Sports Deck), the Sky Suites enjoy a prime midship position. From the moment you approach the doorway, the VIP experience feels tailored and effortless.
Your OceanMedallion grants hands-free access as you approach. The suite door unlocks automatically before you even touch the handle, making popping back to your room completely faff-free.
Upon stepping inside, you are immediately greeted by an airy, flooded-with-light living space. Unlike traditional staterooms that can feel a bit enclosed, the floor-to-ceiling glass surrounding the main lounge opens up stunning panoramic views of the ocean right away.

Enchanted Princess has two exclusive Sky Suites and we were given exclusive access to film a tour. The two Sky Suites are the best suites on the ship. Located up on Deck 18, they each have 1000-square-foot balconies which offer 270-degree views over the pool and the ocean. Sky Suites sleep up to five guests in two bedrooms and have two bathrooms and three closets.

The light-filled living and dining area features floor-to-ceiling windows with direct access to the private balcony
Living & Dining Areas: Built for Entertaining
The central living room serves as the main hub of the Sky Suite, cleverly dividing the two bedrooms for maximum privacy. It is designed with socialising in mind, offering plenty of space to relax or host friends for pre-dinner drinks.
The Dining Space & Wet Bar
Five-Person Dining Table: Positioned right under a ceiling skylight and decorative art light fixture, the main table easily seats five people.
Wet Bar & Espresso Setup: Equipped with a dedicated sink, an espresso coffee machine, glassware, and proper cutlery.
Complementary Spirits: Guests receive two full-sized complimentary bottles of alcohol to set up their in-suite bar.
Pre-Boarding Service: Two weeks prior to sailing, your Suite Experience Manager phones you directly to check your beverage preferences so the fridge is pre-stocked with complimentary soft drinks and mixers.
The Lounge & Seating Area
Spacious Seating: Features a large main sofa that can convert into a fifth sleeping berth, along with a comfortable side armchair.
Entertainment Tech: Contains the first of four large flat-screen televisions found across the suite.
Stargazing Telescope: Includes a high-end, deluxe telescope ideal for stargazing on clear sea nights.
Audio: Comes equipped with a portable Bose Bluetooth speaker so you can play your own music throughout the cabin.

A view into the spacious master bedroom, complete with a vanity desk, flat-screen TV, and direct master bathroom access
The Bedrooms: Space, Comfort, and Sockets Galore
One common gripe among cruise passengers is the lack of power outlets in older stateroom designs. We were thrilled to find that Princess got the power layout spot-on in the Sky Suite.
Second Bedroom Setup
The secondary bedroom is surprisingly spacious and far from an afterthought.
Bedding Flexibility: Configurable as two twin beds or a single queen-size bed.
Desk & Power Outlets: Features a full desk with built-in storage compartments. Crucially, USB ports and standard electrical sockets are conveniently built right into wall outlets throughout the room rather than relying on lamp fixtures.
Storage & Access: Includes a second flat-screen TV, a full floor-to-ceiling wardrobe, a full-length mirror, and direct sliding glass door access to the outdoor balcony.
Master Bedroom Retreat
The master bedroom feels like a proper luxury hotel room.
Princess Luxury Bed: Outfitted with a plush, standard-setting Princess Luxury Bed flanked by bedside tables, power sockets, and an exclusive customisable pillow menu.
Vanity Station: Features a large dedicated vanity unit with ample drawers, storage space, and a portable hairdryer.
Light and Views: Offers direct sliding glass door access to the balcony, alongside an expansive side window that looks out towards the Lido deck below.
Walk-In Storage: Features a massive floor-to-ceiling wardrobe area leading directly into the main master bathroom.
The Bathrooms: Pure Marble Luxury
Both bathrooms in the Sky Suite are finished floor-to-ceiling in high-end marble, creating an elegant spa atmosphere.
Feature | Second Bedroom Ensuite | Master Bathroom |
Tub / Shower | Walk-in shower (2 shower heads) | Jacuzzi bath + walk-in shower |
Toilet | Glass privacy door | Enclosed marble toilet area |
Vanity & Storage | Large mirror, lights, shelves | Full mirror, shaving mirror, plugs |
Toiletries & Extras | Upgraded Lotus Spa amenities | Terry-shawl bathrobes & slippers |
Having two complete, full-sized bathrooms makes hosting five guests completely cracking, ensuring there are no frantic morning queues when getting ready for shore days or formal nights.

Outdoor Spaces: The Largest Balcony at Sea
If the interior space is impressive, the vast wraparound private balcony is the genuine crown jewel of this suite.
Providing an incredible 270-degree vantage point, it offers unmatched panoramic ocean views throughout your cruise.
Balcony Amenities & Layout
Movies Under the Stars: The aft section of the balcony looks directly onto the ship's massive outdoor theater screen. You get your own private flat-screen TV out on the balcony as well, along with an outdoor mini-fridge for chilled drinks.
Luxury Lounging: Outfitted with high-end sun loungers, luxury sunbeds, and a large outdoor daybed for afternoon napping or watching evening films.
Alfresco Dining: Includes a full outdoor dining table and chairs, perfect for enjoying a complimentary ultimate balcony breakfast or private evening dinner under the stars.
Private Deck Access: Features its own direct, private access gate straight into The Retreat, the exclusive adults-only pool sanctuary on board.
The Hidden Perks: Princess Suite Benefits
Beyond the impressive square footage, staying in a Sky Suite unlocks Princess Cruises' top-tier VIP package, which adds serious real-world value to your cruise.
👔 Free Laundry & White-Glove Service
Complimentary Same-Day Laundry: You get free professional laundry, pressing, and dry-cleaning services throughout your entire voyage. We reckon this is one of the absolute best perks, meaning you can pack significantly lighter and go home with a suitcase full of clean clothes.
Priority Everything: Enjoy priority embarkation on day one, priority disembarkation, priority tender tickets in port, and reserved seating in the main theatre for evening shows.
🍷 VIP Dining Perks
Complimentary First-Night Specialty Dining: Enjoy a free dinner at one of the ship's specialty restaurants on night one of your cruise.
Reserve Collection Dining: Skip main dining room queues entirely with private, unqueued seating in the Reserve Dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
In-Suite Dining Upgrades: Option to order full-course meals from the Main Dining Room menu delivered right to your suite dining table, plus complimentary afternoon tea service and daily chef's treats.

The secluded rear section of the wraparound balcony offers luxury sun loungers and magnificent ocean views
Is It Worth It?
We reckon the Sky Suite on Enchanted Princess sets a high benchmark for top-tier cruise ship accommodation.
Who This Suite Suits Best
Multi-Generational Families or Groups: With two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and sleeping arrangements for up to five, it offers space to gather without feeling crowded.
Milestone Celebrators: Perfect for milestone birthdays or anniversaries where luxury, total privacy, and dedicated butler service are high priorities.
Avid Balcony Lovers: If private outdoor space and spectacular 270-degree views are essential to your holiday, no other cabin comes close.
Who Should Consider Alternatives
Budget-Conscious Cruisers: If you spend very little time in your room and prefer spending your travel budget on shore excursions, a standard Deluxe Balcony or Mini-Suite offers much better overall value for money.
Couples Travelling Solo: The sheer size (1,500+ sq ft) might feel unnecessarily large for just two people who do not plan on entertaining onboard.
Conclusion & Top Advice
The Sky Suite on Enchanted Princess is a cracking piece of design that balances spacious indoor living with outdoor lounging. What impressed us most was how functional the space is. From abundant electrical sockets to separate living quarters and seamless balcony access, everything feels carefully considered.
Our top piece of advice if you book a Sky Suite: take full advantage of your pre-cruise call with your Suite Experience Manager and use the complimentary laundry service early and often!
