Princess Cruises welcomes Majestic Princess to Southampton as the ship begins its first-ever UK homeporting season, marking a significant milestone since her launch in 2017. The ship will operate roundtrip voyages from Southampton throughout the spring and summer.

Running through September 2026, itineraries range from 11 to 14-nights, sailing to destinations across the British Isles and Northern Europe. Majestic Princess will then return to the UK in 2027 for another season sailing from Southampton.
With limited availability remaining for 2026, holidaymakers wishing to sail on Majestic Princess from Southampton are encouraged to book ahead for the 2027 season. Sample cruises include:
From £1,539pp for a 12-night British Isles voyage, calling at Falmouth, Cobh, Dun Laoghaire (for Dublin), Liverpool, Belfast, Greenock, Edinburgh, and Le Havre. Departs 7 April 2027.
From £3,029pp for a 14-night Search for the Northern Lights cruise, which includes two overnight stays. Calling at Alesund, Trondheim, Tromso (overnight), Alta (overnight), and Molde. Departs 17 March 2027.
Cruise Career Springboard
Coinciding with the start of Majestic Princess’ inaugural Southampton season, Princess Cruises also welcomed students onboard as part of the Cruise Career Springboard programme.
Now in its fourth year, the initiative - run by Edwina and Matthew Lonsdale, owners of luxury cruise agency Mundy Cruising - aims to inspire young people by showcasing the wide range of career opportunities within the cruise industry.
A total of 36 students attended today’s visit, representing Itchen College, NESCOT, and Farnborough Technical College. The visit marks the start of their eight-week programme.
“Welcoming students onboard Majestic Princess today was incredibly special,” said Eithne Williamson, Princess Cruises UK, Ireland, & EMEA Vice President. “For many, it was their first time stepping onto a cruise ship. Experiencing how a ship operates, meeting our crew, and getting a glimpse of life at sea is a brilliant way to begin their journey exploring careers in this industry.”
Edwina Lonsdale, owner of Mundy Cruising, added: “Today’s visit provided a fantastic introduction to the breadth of career opportunities within the cruise industry. We are extremely grateful for the continued support Princess Cruises has given the programme over the past four years.”
