Departing from Dover on Wednesday 28th May, Moir will be joining the ‘Scenic Falls & Fjords of Norway’ tour on Borealis, one of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ fleet of three smaller ships. The eight night trip runs until Thursday 5th June

Two lucky ballot winners have won a session with Moir in which he will paint their favourite scenic views from the trip on canvas. They will then be given the artworks to take home, as a memento of the special moments, big and small, that happen on a Fred. Olsen cruise.

All guests on board will also be treated to An Audience with Jim Moir on Tuesday 3rd June. Open to everyone, Moir will be interviewed by cruise director Anthony Cranny, followed by a Q&A with the audience.

During the Norwegian trip, guests will have plenty of opportunity to make new memories at a range of awe-inspiring locations places and experiences. These including being taken along narrow and picturesque waterways such as Nordfjord, seeing stunning waterfalls, catching their own crayfish and touring the breathtaking landscapes of the Kjenndalen and Briskdal glaciers.

Moir is the first of three Moments Crew joining Fred. Olsen cruises throughout the summer. Bestselling author and comedian Jenny Eclair will be joining Balmoral’s 13 night ‘Fairytale Castles and Old Towns of the Baltic’ cruise, departing from Rosyth on 27th June. Celebrity photographer Scarlet Page will then embark Bolette for its 13 night ‘Volcanic Vistas of the Azores and Madeira’ cruise, departing from Liverpool on 25th July

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines recruited the famous crew of documentarians following research that revealed 82 per cent of people say their life’s top memories are made while travelling.

Sonia Holman, Marketing Director at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, comments: “We know that some of life’s best memories are made on the high seas, so what better way to ensure they are caught than by assembling the first-ever crew dedicated to recording these unique moments in unique ways. We’re delighted to welcome Jim, Jenny and Scarlet onboard and look forward to seeing, reading and viewing the big and small guest moments they observe.”

Jim Moir, Fred. Olsen’s artist-on-board, comments: “Some of my happiest memories are from travelling, so I am looking forward to stepping onboard with my easel and paints and capturing guests’ favourite views for prosperity. Personally, I hope to see some spectacular scenery, dramatic waterfalls and interesting birds like auks, darters and maybe even some puffins, which are always a delight to paint.”
