Celestyal hosts global fam trip in Arabian Gulf

Celestyal has hosted 30 travel agents for a fam trip in the Arabian Gulf, in conjunction with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.

The agents – four of whom were from the UK – joined the cruise line for the launch of its new-for-2025 ‘Iconic Arabia’ itineraries and the debut of Celestyal Discovery in the region.

The five-day fam included a two-night pre-cruise stay in Abu Dhabi at the Grand Hyatt, featuring visits to the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Natural History Museum, Ferrari World, teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. All activities were arranged and hosted by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.

This was followed by a three-night cruise on the 1360-guest Celestyal Discovery, departing December 12 and visiting Dubai and Sir Bani Yas Island, the latter of which included a ‘Get closer to nature’ shore excursion.

Celestyal’s new-for-2025 ‘Iconic Arabia’ itineraries on Celestyal Discovery sail roundtrip from Abu Dhabi. Ports of call include maiden visits to Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, in addition to Doha, Qatar; Khasab, Oman; Dubai, UAE; and Sir Bani Yas Island, UAE.

Overall, the two-ship 2025/26 Arabian Gulf season represents a 211% year-on-year capacity increase for the cruise line, following on from its maiden 2024/25 programme. The 1260-guest Celestyal Journey operates the seven-night ‘Desert Days’ itinerary.
