Celestyal has unveiled a new onboard programme for Celestyal Discovery’s first dedicated Western Mediterranean season, featuring new shows, regionally inspired menus and destination-focused activities.

The programme will complement the 1,360-guest ship’s new deployment, which starts from December 5, with food, wine, music and cultural experiences inspired by the destinations visited.

Dining will include new menus across the Thalassa main dining room and Smoked Olive, the suites-dedicated restaurant, alongside locally inspired dishes in the Taverna buffet.

Highlights include Portuguese caldo verde, Spanish gazpacho and churros, Italian arancini and Moroccan tagines. A ‘Royal Moorish’ themed dinner buffet will accompany the Casablanca call, while jamón carving will feature in the Taverna.

Grill Seekers - the speciality restaurant - will introduce a revised European bistro-style menu, featuring classic starters, fish and seafood, European meat cuts and regional cheeses. Greek Deli will retain its signature gyros while adding regional street food, including Spanish tortilla and patatas bravas.

The culinary programme will be supported by a selection of Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian wines, alongside a new premium 'Iconic Wines of Bordeaux' collection available in Grill Seekers and Grapevine.

Celestyal Entertainment

The entertainment programme will introduce new shows, with highlights including:

* ‘Pasión Española’, celebrating Spanish music through live singing and dance.

* ‘Buona Sera Italia’, featuring well-known Italian songs, including ‘Volare’, ‘Con te partirò’ and ‘O sole mio’.

* ‘Viva la Mediterranea’, bringing together music from Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Greece.

New cooking demonstrations will give guests an introduction to regional cuisines. Destination-focused talks will explore subjects such as Spanish olive oil, the spice trade of Spain and Portugal, Morocco’s argan trees and Pompeii.

Janet Parton, vice president of marketing, PR and customer experience at Celestyal, said: “Being authentically Med is about the feeling guests take away from their holiday as much as the places they visit. As we expand west, we want to carry that spirit with us while embracing the distinct character of each destination. The experience onboard should help guests feel connected to the region, encouraging discovery and giving them more reasons to explore when they step ashore.”

Celestyal Discovery’s Western Mediterranean programme will operate during the winter 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons. A 14-night ‘Mediterranean Odyssey’ itinerary includes overnight stays in Barcelona (Tarragona) and Lisbon, alongside calls in Malaga, Gibraltar, Casablanca, Cadiz, Tangier, Valencia, Palma and Sète.

Guests can also choose seven-night sailings between Barcelona (Tarragona) and Lisbon, or combine the itinerary with an eight-night ‘Mediterranean Riviera’ voyage between Athens and Barcelona (Tarragona) to create a 22-night holiday.

Prices for a seven-night sailing start from £419pp. Fares include meals, soft drinks with meals, essential WiFi, port fees and gratuities.
