A MAGICAL MARKET, SPECTACULAR LIGHTSHOW, ICE SKATING, THEATRE AND THRILLING RIDES HEADLINE SOUTHAMPTON’S FESTIVE LINE UP

Visit Southampton's festive favourites are set to return to the city this Christmas transforming it to a sparkling wonderland. 

Expect a Christmas market, (13th November 2025 until 5th January 2026), with alpine-styled chalets, hand-made, authentic gifts and sweet treats plus, pop up bars. Families will be able to visit Santa and his elves in his cosy Winterland Grotto and a spectacular musical light show will illuminate the city’s historic Bargate monument each night.

Southampton’s Festive Wonderland extends to Guildhall Square too with the option to enjoy thrill seeking as well as family-friendly rides. An indoor ice rink complete with its own après bar will pop-up on the Esplanade at Westquay with the historic city walls as a backdrop. There will also be a free, family festive trail featuring beautifully designed snow scenes in windows across the city.

Finally, Christmas isn’t Christmas without a trip to the theatre and Southampton's Mayflower Theatre and Mayflower Studios have family-festive entertainment covered with shows including The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan, the Counting Down to Christmas musical, Stick Man and A Christmas Carol, The youthfully spirited musical.
