Portree is the largest town on, and capital of, the Isle of Skye in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland.

We TENDER to PORTREE and experience AFTERNOON TEA on AMBASSADOR Ambience - DAY 5 VLOG

Day 5 of our British Isles cruise we got to visit the beautiful town of Portree, Skye. This was a tender port and there were accessibility problems for some guests. We explored Portree independently and visited some of the historic sights.

The town itself is characterised by its colourful waterfront buildings, which create a postcard-worthy scene. It offers a cozy and friendly atmosphere, making visitors feel welcome and at ease. As the largest town on the Isle of Skye, Portree serves as a central hub for exploring the island's natural wonders.

Travellers can enjoy leisurely strolls along the harbour, taking in breathtaking views of the sea and the nearby mountains. The local fishing boats add a touch of authenticity to the maritime charm of the town. Many cafés, restaurants, and shops line the streets, offering opportunities to taste delicious Scottish cuisine and shop for unique souvenirs.

From Portree, visitors can venture out to explore the island's iconic landmarks, such as the Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing, and the Fairy Pools, each offering a distinct and unforgettable experience.

Whether you're seeking tranquility in nature or a quaint town experience, Portree is an ideal to discover the beauty and magic of the Isle of Skye, making it a must-visit destination.
