Marella Voyager

If you're the kind of cruiser who likes your holiday with a side of excitement, great food, and zero stress, Marella Voyager might just be your perfect match. She’s the newest ship in the Marella Cruises fleet, and while she’s not brand new in build, she’s had a proper glow-up to give guests all the fun of modern cruising with a relaxed, friendly vibe.
Marella Voyager set sail for the first time under the Marella name in June 2023, but she’s actually been sailing since 1997.
Originally launched as Celebrity Mercury and then sailing under TUI Cruises as Mein Schiff Herz, she was given a full makeover before joining Marella. And it shows. Think bright, fresh interiors, stylish cabins, and a layout that feels easy to get around without losing that mid-sized charm.
She holds around 1,900 passengers, which makes her big enough to have plenty to do, but small enough that you’re not queueing for everything. The ship strikes that happy middle ground between entertainment and intimacy—ideal if you want to do lots or absolutely nothing at all.

When it comes to facilities, Marella Voyager doesn’t hold back. You’ll find two pools, including a roomy main pool with plenty of loungers around it, and an indoor pool that’s perfect when the weather turns. There’s a gym, a spa, a running track and even a mini golf course tucked away at the top of the ship. For families, there's the amazing Hideout teen space and the M Club for younger cruisers, all included in the fare.

Now let’s talk about the food because Marella Voyager definitely delivers. With 17 bars and restaurants onboard, you won’t be short of options. Latitude 53 is your main dining spot, with a great rotating menu and no need to dress up unless you want to. The Kitchens is a brand new concept—imagine a food court at sea, with different stations serving everything from curries to roast dinners to build-your-own salads. It’s informal, fast and really tasty. There’s also Nonna’s for fresh pizza and pasta, and if you fancy something extra special, Surf & Turf and Platter offer a more upmarket experience at a small extra cost.

Entertainment on Marella Voyager is lively and laid-back, depending on what you’re in the mood for. The Broadway Show Lounge puts on high-energy performances most nights—think West End-style shows with a Marella twist. The Squid & Anchor pub is the heart of the ship most evenings, with live music, quizzes, and karaoke. If cocktails are more your scene, you’ll love The Electric Rooms or The Lounge, which often hosts live piano and acoustic sets in a colourful, Instagrammable setting.
Cruising with Marella Voyager is about as fuss-free as it gets. All cruises are all-inclusive, meaning drinks, tips, flights, and transfers are part of the package. The vibe onboard is relaxed and friendly, with lots of British touches—from Yorkshire tea in the cabins to full English breakfasts every morning.

So if you're after a cruise ship that balances fun, food, comfort and a good old dose of sunshine, Marella Voyager is ready and waiting.
